This place is amazing it was my first time coming here and will certainly come back this summer. Mary did my pedicure and I got hard gel done from Sandy who was very professional and skilled, and also super lovely. Their speed of service was also commendable, Ryan at the reception was warm and helpful. I made an appointment at the Avondale location with a particular technician based on good reviews I’d seen. Long story short, I ended up sitting and waiting close to half an hour while being told “Just a little longer…she’s running late but she’ll be with you soon…” until finally I was told “Actually, she won’t have time for you at all.” The only alternative I was offered was a different tech who would perform a different service altogether than what I’d booked (was offered hard gel Russian mani, but I had booked builder gel, which is different from hard gel, and I hadn’t wanted a Russian mani). Overall, I felt the situation wasn’t handled very well on their part considering there were not one but 2 managers on duty there.At that point I left, but I really wanted a manicure that day, and I don’t know of many places that offer builder gel manis so I decided to give the Wicker Park location a try later that day. Once again, I made an appointment, only to arrive and be told the technician was running a half hour late and wouldn’t be able to accommodate me. I didn’t want to roll the dice on a random technician (given that that the reviews definitely seem better for some techs than others at this location) so I left.Seems like a clean establishment with a good color selection, so I’ll give them a star for that.
