I am so happy with my haircut from Georgina! She fixed my choppy layers and my hair is so blended and smooth and healthy looking now. I have 4a/4b type hair but it is relaxed. It is hard to find hairstylists that can cut my hair just right but she knocked it out the park. I will definitely be back I’m so glad I found this place.

The best stylists in the Bay Area! I have been coming here for years and they always make me feel welcome and ALWAYS nail the style that I’m going for. I moved from Oakland to SF last year and I still take the train across the bay just to come here – I have gotten cuts at other salons and it just doesn’t compare to the magic they work here at BIBO. I have a lot of hair on my head, and it has historically been really difficult to find the right stylist, but I trust the folks here. I’ve had my hair cut by Itzel, Angel, and Skye, and they are all so so skilled at what they do. They have wonderful communication and always make my hair goals a reality. I always leave here feeling cute and fresh!

Gonna open this review up with: I have thiiiiick type 4c hair and went in with a natural dark brown. I wanted a honey blonde gradient — dark blonde roots and super light tips — and assumed my hair would probably look a little fried and dyed afterwards. For context, I last did this to my hair over ten years ago with a couple of Aveda students. I have realistic expectations.And those expectations were blown out of the water. Cheri KNOWS HAIR. Even afro-textured hair. I left feeling so cute. I currently have my hair up in a messy twist bun (my favorite style) and can’t stop looking at myself in the mirror. I’m not tenderheaded, but Cheri was incredibly gentle in detangling and applying the bleach. I also expected my scalp to feel tender after so much manipulation, but I feel nothing out of the ordinary! Cheri is also fun to chat with and super understanding. So many good things about this visit.I’ll update this review with some pictures later so other kinky-coily people can make an informed decision about scheduling at BIBO.

Got an absolutely awful haircut. Everyone agrees. The bangs look like they were cut by a five-year-old: way too short, jagged bowl cut. I spent last night in tears, and can’t even brush my teeth without hiding the mirror. It’s just terrible – literally the worst haircut I’ve had in my life.Was especially heartbreaking since it’s the day before my birthday, and a week before I have to give a public talk.Also, when I arrived, Audrey said that the length in the front was good, and that she was always “conservative” when doing a first haircut with a new client, but then cut 3-4 inches at least off the front and more in the back. She’ll talk a lot about face shape, and isn’t even wrong about that, but her execution is terrible.I’m not sure what happened – whether she ever worked at a good salon, as she claims (she charges $195), or just really blew it yesterday, but I think she knew how badly she screwed up, because she kept repeatedly pressing my bangs down hard against my forehead, in a desperate attempt to make them appear longer.To Audrey: Please please stop cutting hair. You’re genuinely terrible at it.

Long overdue review of my favorite hairstylist, Audrey! I was always one to keep the same hairstyle FOR YEARS – it required a lot of effort (and hair products) on my part to style it the way I wanted. But all that was out the window in the throws of postpartum life. That’s when I met Audrey. She answered my call for a low-maintenance haircut that looked great straight out of bed (no curlers, no heat), maybe some small amount of product for the ends. It was just what I needed to keep up with the kids, but still look presentable! I’m so glad I don’t have to use my heat products and hairspray anymore. She is always an attentive listener and really tries to understand how your cut can fit into your lifestyle. She does an amazing job framing your face and gives you a cut that looks great as it grows out. Super personable and easy to talk to! I’m always looking forward to my self-care hair appts with her!

It’s always scary visiting a new salon. I hate doing online research. I chose this place for a major hair transformation and I’m so happy I did. I saw Morgan. She was super fun and listened to what I wanted. She asked me all along the way how I was feeling about it, looked for my direction. I felt like I was in control the whole time. In the end I think she was just as excited about the cut as I was. Very cute salon with positive vibes. Seems like everyone working there enjoys what they do. Super happy with my hair, would definitely recommend!

Like most of you, I’m very particular about my hair. About a year ago, Nepenthes transformed my limp, thinning hair into a sophisticated bob. I feel elegant and beautiful every time I get my hair done and often receive compliments. Love the pre-cut scalp and hair pampering as well. The location and decor of the studio are an added bonus. This is an inclusive space and I am always taken care of; I can’t recommend Nepenthes enough.🤎

An amazing cut for $40– Washington took me day-of and made me feel comfortable and asked me if I liked my cut when he was finished and I told him I wanted to blend it more so he did!I have long fine hair and he gave me a little bit of layers and took about 3-4 inches off. He was thorough about asking exactly what I wanted and did not push me to get more done than I wanted and took his time to give me a good cut instead of rushing. His shop is very clean and quiet and it made for a great experience.

My first time trying this hair salon. I booked a last minute haircut appointment with Sarah for an event I was attending that evening. I have Long strawberry blonde hair that I just put in a braid every day and forget it. I’m not into fancy hair care and I had my last trim about 9 months ago (don’t judge me! 😂). I put my total faith in Sarah to make my overdue cut into a Oscar worthy stylish down do. OMG I had so many compliments that evening and the next day on my haircut and style from Sarah! I felt like I was starring in my own personal movie. Sarah did an amazing job on my hair, I will be returning to her again and again!!
