So I had been thinking about transitioning from acrylics to my natural nails and found this salon on Google. I was excited about it being non-toxic, vegan, etc and was looking forward to a different experience. I definitely got a different experience. I made an appointment yesterday for the ‘Just Gel It’ manicure. On their website, it says that it includes:“Nail shaping and detailed cuticle careNon-Toxic gel polish followed by Jojoba oil cuticle treatmentGentle exfoliation with nourishingRelaxation massage with paraben & fragrance-free organic moisturizing lotionHot crystal enhancementWarm towel wrap” (copied and pasted)I showed up to my appointment and was seated. I sat down and she put oil on my cuticles, pushed them back, and trimmed them. I then washed my hands and she painted my nails. THAT’S IT!!! No exfoliation, no massage, no hot crystals, no towel wrap, i LITERALLY didn’t even get LOTION (as you can see in my picture)!!! My nails look nice and the lady was nice; but, with the $45 manicure, $8 building gel add-on, and a $5 tip (because that’s what I tip when I’m dissatisfied) I paid $58 dollars for less than half of the service I was supposed to receive!!
