I’ve been thinking about doing a review for days now. But overall have been just so disappointed that I feel compelled to. I was in Dallas for a trip and needed a haircut. I found this salon with great reviews and decided to make an appointment. They were able to get me in same day which was great. I’m used to not seeing the same stylist for my hair and rarely have a bad experience. When I met with my stylist, I explained to her some issues I was having with my hair and what I was trying to achieve, also letting her know that I was not afraid of any suggestions like going shorter, bangs, whatever, I was just looking for something new and fresh. When she completed cutting my hair and started styling, I could start to tell that there was an issue. When she was done, my hair looked the same as what I came in with. It was flat and boring, the exact opposite of what I had asked for. I asked her to try curling it to see if that would help. She attempted to curl my hair, which only made it look worse somehow. She could see I was disappointed. The look on the stylist face told me she didn’t think it looked good either. She asked if I wanted to have another stylist come over and do my hair. I agreed but then she couldn’t find anyone. Another, very friendly stylist did end up coming over and attempting to help by recurling my hair with a more appropriate iron and technique. This helped some but not much. I paid $95 for this haircut which I think is the most I’ve ever paid for just a cut and style to only receive a trim and poor styling. It was the most disappointing trip to the salon I’ve had. When I got home and tried to style my hair with my own familiar tools, it was just more of the same. I got nothing I asked for, paid way to much and the stylist I had, Laura I think was her name, appeared to lack confidence in her own work or ability.I was thankful for the second woman that came over to help. I wish she had had more time to do my hair but was working with another client at the time. Just overall, a very disappointing and expensive trip. This was definitely not worth the money. The salon was nice, the people were nice. My stylist was nice, just didn’t seem like a confident person and this was reflected in her overall appearance as well.
