If you’re looking for an impeccable, pinterest-level mani/pedi, most nail salons are nowhere close, and you probably need to find an independent nail tech. However, Lux nails gets pretty close to that level. They spend a lot of time on nail prep, and are thorough and gentle with cuticle removal. They’re also really hygenic- no jets, only tubs. They also have single use nail files and callus scrubbers- I’ve been to some pricy/high end nail salons that use used nail files (yuck). They only do natural nails or gel, and they really care about the health of your nails. They’re transparent about pricing on their website, they don’t upcharge/upsell, and the customer service is great. I paid $105 for a regular pedicure + a gel french tip manicure, which is a pretty good deal imo. They ask your opinion before each step of the process. I also saw them handle an unhappy customer really well by listening to the customer, explaining the issue to the customer, and trying to resolve it by changing out the nail tech. Street parking is easy on the weekends, and there’s cute coffee/shops nearby.
